Abstract

This contribution presents the game, Where is Betta-the-Bee hidden?, and a series of related teaching resources designed to develop logical thinking in children aged 4 to 7. The game, inspired by dynamics such as those of the more famous Guess who?, is based on questions and deductions concerning numerical, spatial or perceptual variables to find a hidden card. Its design, realized in collaboration with pre-service and in-service teachers, has been refined through cycles of experimentation in kindergarten and primary school contexts. The teaching resources developed from the game include worksheets, illustrated books and videos designed to support reflection on questions formulation, answering questions and cards discarding. The aim is to provide teachers with a mathematical game that allows children to explore logical principles in an engaging way, encouraging interaction and discussion.
