Abstract

Nowadays financial literacy is one of the topics in school’s curricula that is attracting more attention; a special focus is given to programs for secondary school students that should become active and informed decision-makers in the economic and financial setting. Within the project Edufin@Polimi, a game was developed to let students discover some of the main ideas of financial mathematics, such as simple and compound interest, investment, loans rules. In this article, we describe the design of this game and report the results of the first experimentations realized in three different upper secondary schools.
