Abstract

This article presents a didactic path carried out during an entire school year in two biclasses of the first cycle of the Lugano Institute. In the classes there were children with specific educational needs and therefore a strong differentiation was necessary. Within the project it has been used a specifically designed and created material, which also represents the basis of a motivational background, with the aim of teaching various mathematical topics and developing some of the main skills required by the Piano di studio della scuola dell’obbligo ticinese (Dipartimento dell’educazione, della cultura e dello sport [DECS], 2022) for the first two years of primary school.
