By analyzing two case studies, we propose a reflection about primary children mathematical activity at home and how the interaction with the parents influences such activity. After presenting a short review of the literature about homeschooling and about parents’ relationship with mathematics homework, we qualitatively analyze data collected during the lockdown and concerning the activity of two Italian third grade students.
