Mathematical Rally and cooperation between elementary school students

The transversal competences, as underlined by the Piano di studio della scuola dell’obbligo ticinese (DECS, 2015), play a very important role in the school curriculum of elementary and non-primary students. In this work we present an experience realized in a scholastic semester in a fourth grade class, aimed at developing cooperation among pupils through RMT (Rally Matematico Transalpino). This project highlights different aspects related to cognitive and social competences, roles revaluation in the classroom.
